     Some facts about St. Patrick:

St. Patrick is responsible for converting the people of Ireland to Christianity.

Born in Britain, but is not Irish, in 385 AD.

At 16, he was brought to Ireland as a slave.

He escaped six years later and became a priest.

Following a vision, he returned to Ireland to Christianize the Irish people.

He is credited with having driven the snakes out of Ireland. However, most biologists maintain there never were snakes in Ireland.

March 17, 461 AD - St. Patrick dies. He is not canonized, but the people revel anyway in his name.

Getting Ready for Christmas!

November 2019's Black Saturday & WNEP Feed-a-Friend Food Drive

The Sugarman's Black Saturday and the Thanksgiving Food Drive with WNEP Feed-a-Friend went fantastically and we want to thank everyone who came to drop off food for our local Lackawanna county families who need a little extra help.

Please note that our food drive will run through Christmas so you can still bring your items in to donate in the front of the building.

Great Turnout for the Safe Trick or Treat and Costume Contest!

Our Safe Trick-or-Treat and Costume Contest on October 27, 2019 was a smash hit. Sugarman's entertained nearly 300 children trick-or-treating and 50 people entered our costume contest, through the entire day. Click the video above to see a quick walkthrough and some of our costume contest people.

It was a very hard decision to pick who won in each of our categories for Cutest, Scariest, and Most Original costumes!

Also we had a visit from WNEP News, and you can click below to see their video that they shot and a small on air blurb about our event. Thanks WNEP! Click the video when you get onto the site below:
